SIGNALS

Signals
Signals are very important - without them trains would crash into each other or
de-rail over wrongly set points. The principles behind why a certain type of signal
is used, or why it’s positioned in a certain place comes beyond the scope of this
site, though if you really want to know more, visit
tubeprunes site.

The District line has examples of just about every type of signal found on London
Underground, as well as Network Rail ones which are used on the Richmond and
Wimbledon Branches.
