Depots
There are two depots on the District line, at Upminster and Ealing Common.
Between them they maintain all of the D stock (C stock maintenance is the
responsibility of Hammersmith depot on the Hammersmith & City line). Ealing
Common is considered to be the larger of the two, and is carrying out most
of the current upgrades (roll back protection and connect radio) as well as
looking after the D stock refurbishment programe.
